Silver Creek Leadership Summit
SUMMIT HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED NEXT FALL.
Applications are OPEN
to apply to be an AMBASSADOR for 2014-2015!
You may apply for ambassadors if you are a current 9th, 10th or 11th grader in good SCLA standing, and have a GPA 3.0 or over.
This year you must have:
Online application
Teacher recommendation form signed
Prepare a two minute presentation on SCLA for the interview portion
Important dates:
Applications open March 7th
Applications closed Friday, March 28st
Interview/Presentation- April 8.9, and 10 after school
List posted- Friday, April 11
First Ambassador meeting- Wed. April 16 6:30-8:30pm (Vote for officers, and prepare SCLA freshman induction evening)
SCLA Freshman Induction Ceremony- Tuesday, April 22, 6-7:30pm
SCLA Freshman Retreat- YMCA at Winter Park- Aug. 6th and 7th.

Unity in the Community
Maddie Toretto has been working with the Longmont Chamber of Commerce all year for her Capstone Project. She helped organize Unity and it was a great success last night! The evening even included a Shoutout for SCLA from Lt. Governor Joe Garcia! Thank you for all of you who volunteered!
CHINESE NEW YEAR
Chinese New Year was a big success! Shout out to Alex Bush and Nico Rembert for all their hard work to help host this event. Over 1300 people attended and a great time was had by all.

RaeAnn Pollard and Taylor Strub hosted a special assembly with their mentor JP Butler to share info on teen dating and kick off their TERA (Teens Ending Relationship Abuse) club. Little Dresses For Africa
Allison Howlett and Victoria Kline hosted a Little Dresses for Africa dressmaking party on Saturday, March 1st where they were able to make over 50 dresses. Join them again on Saturday, March 8th at Silver Creek HS from 12-4 for another round of making these simple dresses out of pillowcases for young ladies in Africa!
