Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! The 9th grade retreat is coming up soon. Final payments can be made online at https://squareup.com/store/SCLA/item/scla-th-grade-retreat-1 or you can drop off cash or check at SCHS on Tuesday, July 26 from 10am-12pm or Monday, August 1st from 10am-12pm. Contact Ms. Adams if you have any concerns about the remaining balance on your account.

Pack lightly!
BRING A SACK LUNCH FOR WEDNESDAY AUGUST 3rd
WE WILL EAT RIGHT WHEN WE ARRIVE AT THE YMCA!

Do not bring:
- Anything expensive / nice / that you would be upset if it were broken
- Alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, drugs. Fastest way to get sent home from the retreat, kicked out of SCLA and start your school year with a suspension.
- Lots of money. There is a small gift shop and grill if you would like something, but it’s not necessary. If you would like a few dollars for spending that is fine.
- A Suitcase- A Backpack or Duffle bag is all you will need
Do bring:
- A GREAT ATTITUDE!!!
- Bathroom bag- your personal items- shampoo, toothbrush etc.
- Tennis Shoes or good walking / hiking shoes (we are outside a lot doing activities. Flip flops and Toms are not good for this!)
- Flip-flops to wear around in the evening etc.
- Socks
- Sleep wear
- Clothes for Friday (shorts and t-shirts are fine)
- Sweatshirt for evening
- Rain poncho or rain / windbreaker
- Small Flashlight
- Water bottle (it is your job to stay hydrated! We will have water jugs to fill up your water bottles.)
- Sunscreen (It is your job to not get sunburned!)
- Extra Change of Clothes just in case
Maybe?
- sleeping bag- while the YMCA provides bedding some students may be in rooms with double beds to share- and having your own sleeping bag may make things more comfortable for you.
- Hat
You will be assigned rooms and teams for the retreat. There is no switching. There is no complaining. The first step to becoming a leader is being outside your comfort zone. Get to know new people and experience the adventure. Our time at the retreat is short. Come open minded and ready to have a good time, meet new people and learn!!
SCHEDULE
Check-in for the retreat: Wednesday, August 3 8:30-9am at Silver Creek HS in the front of the school. We will double check all your paperwork is in order, get you into your "bandana" group, pack the buses and be on our way.
Don't forget a sack lunch and your water bottle!!
We will picnic when we arrive at the YMCA.
Pickup- Thursday, August 4th between 7-7:30pm we will arrive at SCHS in the front parking lot.
