Great week, SCLAers!

A BIG THANK YOU to all who helped Suzanne Zens pull off a wonderful Parent / Teacher Conference dinner on Wednesday.  The food was amazing, there was a lot of it, and we had great variety.  Thank you again from all of the staff who enjoyed dinner thanks to the awesome SCLA families!

Tonight!
Friday, October 16th

From 6-9 at the Longmont Senior Center, the Inclusive Communities Celebration. This is a great event that showcases the diversity in our community. Several of our students will be there presenting information on their Capstone Projects and volunteering.   I am humble and honored to be receiving the Community Unity Award tonight.  This award is only made possible from the great work the SCLA students have been doing the past few years.  I would love for as many of the SCLAers who can attend to be there with me when I receive the award.  This is truly OUR award!!

Trevor Bane's SCLA Capstone Project got a big boost this week with help from SCLA 10th graders!  Trevor's first two day of sales were $1306.00!  In addition to helping Beads for Life, 20% is going to Health and Ed 4 Nepal, to help a village with necessary items for schools and health care.  This great project helps TWO great organizations and you get beautiful jewelry for helping!

The online site is still up: Beads for Life so you can still shop.
