Things are going great with SCLA in the first few weeks of school.
We have seven classes this semester and classes are in the thick of things.
Homecoming
Homecoming was a great success with our fall sports teams doing great. Their win / loss records are impressive and our SCLA athletes are representing our program well.
Thanks to Ambassador Connor Hansen who took the lead in getting our float ready for the parade, and to all our ambassadors who helped!
Connor Hansen, Parker Nicholas, Evans Etcheverry, Chris Medrano, Sam Nolledo got our float ready for the parade!
Thanks to all who helped at the concession stand at the football game. It was a little crazy as the first game of the year but I appreciate all the help and the great attitudes to roll with the punches!
Thanks to Linda Krichel, Jo Harris, Qiyra Marie, Margo Denning, Brandon Shaffer, Marcie Kunz, Margaret Edmonds, Dave Bandi, Chelsea Bandi, and Pam Hora. Thank you for volunteering your time to help out!
BOOSTER CLUB REP
Thanks to Suzanne Zens for volunteering to be our SCLA Booster Club Rep for this school year. We appreciate your helping out the program!
A Big THANK YOU to outgoing rep Melissa Gambirasi who has helped us out for a couple of years. She will be missed!
Longmont Live and Give Day
September 13th 2016
#LongmontGives
SCLA is out to support the Longmont Community Foundation by sharing the volunteer hours our students are donating to our community and the world. With our seven classes this semester, and each student volunteering the minimum of 25 hours, SCLA will be able to donate 4775 hours!
Those hours can make a difference in our community. Thank you for all your hours of volunteering!
Volunteers
Speaking of volunteering, have you checked out all the opportunities on Track It Forward?
Baking cookies for EdCamp, day care for EdCamp, Painting party for the school shed, Flagstaff Fall Festival, Mountain Peaks Family Fun Fest, and the Flagstaff Dragon Dash are all open for volunteers at this time!
Parent / Teacher Conference Dinner
Each year, SCLA hosts dinner for the teachers and staff during Parent / Teacher Conferences.
This year, our date is WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 12th.
If you can help by bringing something for dinner- please sign up here: Parent Teacher Conference Dinner
