Happy Halloween!

It's been a busy couple of weeks in the SCLA world!

First, my apologies for any confusion with concessions this past Friday.  I reused the Google form from our first concessions service time, and failed to delete the names of those who worked.   My father has been in the hospital and I think my brain just shorted out!  Thanks for your patience, and thanks to those who were able to help, either time!!

FIELD TRIPS!!

Recently our 10th grade SCLAers went to Everest Restaurant in Longmont to taste Nepalese food and hear the owner sing and drum.  Many thanks to the mom drivers and for the students to experience eating Dal, Sag, Butter Chicken and many other foods.  We hope these experiences help our students be more comfortable trying foods they are not used to and how to be respectful of cultural differences.

SCLA 12 took a day to head to Loveland Laser Tag for an amazing day of team-building, communication, respect, ethics and problem solving!  Each student was able to be part of a laser tag team for several games, take on the climbing wall, experience the ropes course and head to the laser maze.   The chance to work on leadership skills in a fun environment and see how they can apply these skills to their Capstone Project was the focus of the day.  Certainly one of the best field trips ever and we will continue it every year with our senior class!

 1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
