We had a great retreat with our incoming 9th graders at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. We hope this was helpful in getting the Class of 2022 ready for high school. Pictures coming soon.
A few items of business:

SCLA Booster Needs:
Booster Rep- We need a Parent Rep for this school year. Being an RABC Booster Rep means attending monthly meetings and helping us stay in the loop with all things Booster.

Concessions:
It's SCLA's turn to run the concession stand!
Thursday, Sept. 13 from 6:30-8:30pm. We will be running the north concession stand. We need SIX Adults and FOUR students to make this run smoothly.

Back to School Night- Wednesday, August 29
An Evening in Nepal- Thursday, August 30th Join our friends from the local non-profit, Health and Ed 4 Nepal, and Jaget Lama to an informative evening of all things Nepal. Get updates on how the village of Kumari is rebuilding after the devastating earthquake in 2015. Learn more about trekking Everest from Jaget, who has been leading expeditions for over 25 years. Help us continue to support making a difference in Nepal. Handmade items will be available for purchase for the educational fund that supports students pursuing medical degrees. 6:30pm in the Library at SCHS.

2020 It's not to early to be thinking of the summer of 2020 and our upcoming trip to the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC! This 8 day adventure packed trip will be an amazing experience. Plus, by signing up now, monthly payments are super affordable. Come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 5th at 6:30pm at SCHS in room D202. This trip is open to students and parents and would be a great parent / child adventure trip. Parents, be aware the trips are fast paced and geared to students- so get ready to move quickly!

We are seeing the interest level of a trip to China. This would be an exchange experience, spending time at a Chinese School and staying with a Chinese family, in addition to seeing some amazing sites. If you are interested in this, Contact Carrie Adams. Dates are flexible based on interest level.
